Warranty, Credit Claim & Return procedures for Birko Account Customers

Warranty & Credit Claim procedure for Product & Spares.

1. Please ensure the appliance falls within the 12 month warranty period using
date of purchase on customers receipt / invoice or serial number.

2. Check if unit has been subject to misuse, abuse or altered in any way that may
affect the reliability or performance of the unit & void warranty.

3.Warranty exchange units are- Food & Drink Heaters, Domestic 5 Litre Urn,
Coffee Percolator, Toaster 6 Slice, Soup Kettle, Rice Cookers & Insect Killers are
replaced under warranty by you the Retailer / Birko Account Customer, as long as
points 1&2 have been confirmed. The claim unit is then returned to Birko for credit.
If a replacement unit is required, a new order must be placed for this unit.

4. Warranty workshop repair units are - Commercial Urns 10 to 40 Litre, Steam
cooker, and Hot Pack heater (refer to product listing) are repaired under warranty
at a Service Provider’s premises.
Unit should be taken or sent prepaid by the end user to the nearest Birko service
provider, where it will be accessed & repaired by qualified personnel.
DO NOT REPLACE THESE UNITS AS A CLAIM WILL BE REJECTED.

5. Onsite repair units are - Tempo Tronic, Filter Tap, Twin Temp + Under Sink
Boilers & Chillers, Fryer, Griddle Hot Plate, Contact Grill, Conveyor Toaster, Pie
Warmer, Food Steamer Oven, Microwave, Meat Slicer, Bain Marie and Kitchen
Mixer (refer to product listing) are all repaired under warranty onsite by a
recommended Service Provider. For onsite service call 1800 460 222 or email

DO NOT REPLACE THESE UNITS AS A CLAIM WILL BE REJECTED.

6. Return of unit or spare part - new or warranty- the Retailer / Birko
Customer needs to either Fax or Email a claim to - fax 1300 735 259
Email sales@birkoheaters.com for approval.

Your claim form must include the fault or reason for return, your original invoice
number, Serial number of unit being returned, contact name, contact phone
& fax number, number of cartons being returned and pickup address.
If the claim is approved for return - Birko Customer Care will organise pick up of
new/ faulty unit, whether it be via courier, sales agent, Birko representative or post
(If by courier a consignment note will be provided upon pick up.
A handling fee of 10% of the value will be charged on new product returned.
Please ensure unit is ready for collection at time of faxing claim with relevant paper
work attached. An RAN (Return Authorisation Number) will be provided by return
fax. This number (RAN) must also be marked on all cartons being returned.
